The Longview Historical Museums'
Sesquientennial Metal Air Balloon

Celebrating their 150th anniversary, the City of Longview launded a project of installing several metal hot air balloons, for which the city is famous for among balloon racers, across the downtown Arts District and in front of sponsoring companies. I was one of the lucky artists reached out to do work on these. The museum wanted to feature the main founding points of Longview: Methvin, the town's founding father, the rail station and oil industry that put the town on the map, the local indginious pottery, and one of the biggest shootouts known in the Old West, a 200+ shot robbery by the last Dalton brother in 1894.
